The Department of Humanities
The Department of Humanities (DI.S.UM.) welcomes students from all over the world. It has a long international tradition, and it has partner institutions not only in Europe, but also in the U.S. and the Far East. It has over 160 Erasmus Agreements, 3 cooperation programmes, and three double-degree courses.
The Department offers a wide range of courses in most areas of study in the field of the humanities.
The Department is hosted in the Benedectine Monastery of San Nicolò l’Arena, a late baroque monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, (http://www.monasterodeibenedettini.it/en/), which is a Unesco listed building. Officine Culturali organises guided tours of the Monastery; they agreed to schedule a guided tour in English on Sunday 22 at 4 pm and a second one on Thursday 26 at 11 am. People interested in the planned tours need to send an email to info@officineculturali.net to make sure to reserve a place (number of participants for each tour is limited). Tours of the Monastery take place regularly every day leaving at the hour; these tours though will most likely be in Italian.
